I’m a commercial freelance video producer, filmmaker and photographer specialising in cinematic sport and action. I have over twenty years experience creating commercial and editorial imagery which has seen my work
featuring in national newspapers, sports magazines, football programmes, books and even on the front of a very popular computer games cartridge pack.
As a creative it’s important to understand that we’re being called upon to provide visual media to promote the client's brand, which could be as simple as supplying the photography to illustrate a magazine article,
a short film for a website or an image to feature on the cover of a glossy brochure. I appreciate my clients only want to use the best visual media in their marketing so it's important to me they get
the quality they need and which they're proud to use to promote their brand. It is indeed a privilege to be trusted with the job of creating it.
Examples of my commissions include the Porsche Carrera Cup motorracing series, filming track action for their promotional videos, providing a promotional shortfilm for the Croquet Association, the sport's governing body in the UK (watch here),
photography for England Squash, covering the three days of the 2018 and 2019 (it was great to be asked back) Dunlop British Junior Squash Championship, UEFA, the administrative body for association football in Europe,
England Hockey, who oversee the game in England, British Gymnastics, the world-renowned Empics sports photo agency covering football, athletics and motorcycle racing, photography for road test features in Ride magazine,
a UK based motorcycle magazine, providing the images for an article about an athlete for a triathlon magazine, shooting articulated lorries for the marketing department of a haulage company,
creating imagery for a borough council for a 30-image exhibition of sports and dance in the community as part of their Olympic torch relay celebrations, lifestyle imagery for a leisure centre management
company, portraits of senior staff and governors for a school website and images of a furniture maker for
an article in a home lifestyle magazine.
I really enjoy working with remote cameras to create unusual and exciting angles not found from the traditional places a camera goes for a shoot. Take a look at this hang gliding image as an example by

The camera is mounted on a boom in front of the pilot to capture him, the glider and the glorious Derbyshire Peak District.
Some of my personal work has been exhibited in a number of galleries including Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery, Rufford Gallery and Derby Museum & Art Gallery and at Derby Royal Hospital as part of an exhibition for
their Arts To Aid Wellbeing programme.
I won an award at the Beeston International Film Festival for my short film Portrait of a Craftsman. (See it here)
The film picked up the award for best short film in the Three Counties category, open to filmmakers from Leicestershire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. I'm really pleased as this was the first time my work had been shown at
a festival so to even be selected was great but to win was incredible.
As you can see I have a wide range of skills, experience and understanding of the importance of visual media to your brand, therefore I'm very confident I can offer a standard of service you want and expect
from an experienced commercial photographer and filmmaker.
